Creston Fire Department is made up of individuals that care about their community and want to give back to it. Giving back is being there when someone needs help.
It’s providing the safety and reliability your community needs.
Creston Fire Department is constantly looking towards the community to continue its Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Which means, “WE NEED YOU”.
You can volunteer with Creston Fire Department:
1) as a Fire Fighter or Emergency Care Provider; OR
2) as a Friend of Creston Fire.
By joining Creston Fire Department as a Fire Fighter or Emergency Care Provider, you are afforded the chance to truly make a difference in your community. This is your opportunity to get involved in something rewarding and meaningful. You’ll find out what it takes to be a volunteer firefighter, to have the courage to act, and gain the ability to perform.
As a Creston Fire Department member, you not only get the satisfaction of helping others, but you also get ongoing, extensive fire operations training that includes fire strategies, extrication, apparatus operation and fire equipment use. Along with receiving high-quality emergency medical services training, there is emphasis on scene safety, personal protection, and what to do when you are first on scene. You become part of a new family unlike any you’ve even known!
Friends of Creston Fire is a group of community members working together in a supportive role of the fire department. Friends of Creston Fire is always looking for new people with fresh ideas about ways to boost energy and funds for Creston Fire.
Their primary activities include an annual Soup for Supper in October and Auction support in April each year.
